About Three Gables Day Nursery

Three Gables has been privately owned by Kim & Nick Welsh, who live on the premises with their family, for the last eight years although the nursery opened in 1962, one of the first of its kind in the area.

Kim & Nick have been involved with the provision of specialist early years services since the 1990’s; owning and managing a variety of early years nurseries locally. After a long career as an early years consultant, Kim now lectures at Bournemouth & Poole College and Bournemouth University, passing on her knowledge of good practice and management within the early years sector.

Over 90% of our staff are qualified to level 3 or above, with staff qualifications or current study programmes at degree and masters levels. All the staff constantly undertake courses to refresh their skills and to keep up-to-date. Here at Three Gables we like to invest in our staff’s future as they are our greatest asset.
